Endless Motion

7-channel video installation, 1998, loop, 4:3

Endlosse Bewegung

“Endlose Bewegung” (Endless Motion) is a video installation that consists of up to seven modules. The multiple and shifted views of different, repeating movements form a composition that is made up of the given number of projections arranged one above the other. The complete view is of a stairway that is perpetually re- and deconstructing where people move up and down in a never-ending stream. Each projection subdivides further into ever smaller units so that an overall stylised mobility is created.
